About VRSC

A brief history
In 1995, a small group of Vermont resident service coordinators began meeting informally for support and information. In order to meet the HUD mandated guidelines for service coordinators, the group added an educational training session to the quarterly meeting agenda.

The need for professional development continued to grow and, as a result, the group decided to organize and incorporate.

In 2002, VRSC's by-laws (28kb; PDF) were written, the first officers were elected, and the group incorporated to become Vermont Resident Service Coordinators, Inc.

VRSC, Inc. offers support, training, and educational opportunities to its members. Informational meetings are held quarterly. VRSC, Inc. also provides members with monthly electronic and quarterly newsletters.

Support from
Vermont Housing Finance Agency

Sam Falzone, VHFA's Director of Multifamily Programs, attended the first meeting of interested resident service coordinators after the HUD training mandate was published. Since the beginning, VHFA has assisted, sustained, and shared in VRSC's work and success.
